Balloons over Waikato, New Zealand’s iconic hot air balloon festival, is promising a “night full of fun and entertainment for the whole family”, at the Zulu Nightglow tomorrow, Saturday, 23 March.
Admission to this family event at the University of Waikato is free. There will be amusement rides and a wide range of food stalls.
The main attraction would be the hot air balloon Glow Show – a spectacularly stunning light and sound show, all choreographed to your favourite music. The Glow Show will be accompanied by a spectacular laser show.
The event will be topped with Hamilton’s biggest fireworks display.
Live music starts from 4pm with Lou’ana Whitney, a jazz-soul-funk vocalist, followed by Tim Armstrong Band, and the Auckland pop band, The Mermaids.
Free Park and Ride bus services are available for the venue from five locations. Free buses will run between 4.15pm and 7.00pm from the Park and Ride sites and special event bus stops along the routes. After the Night Glow has finished, buses will run on a continuous as-available basis until all passengers have boarded for their return journey. Check the locations here:
