Indian Government has launched the portal ‘Pravasi Rishta’ to effectively connect with over 30 million Indian diaspora that are currently scattered across the globe.

After registering with the portal, a user can submit queries pertaining to these areas and will also have access to information about various events organized by the Mission for greater participation.
Outlining the importance of registration on the portal at the earliest, the Indian High Commission says that those who do not register on the portal may lose out on important information given out by the High Commission in case of emergencies or similar situations and may end up facing serious problems. The database on portal will enable the High Commission to communicate necessary advisories in a coordinated manner.
On the portal, users can select their country of residence from the list provided, for example, ‘New Zealand’, and choose ‘Mission’ as ‘High Commission of India, Wellington’. Then slick ‘Submit’.
