Foodstuffs is recalling a specific batch of its Value brand Roasted & Salted Cashew Nuts is being recalled due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (tree nut – almond).
Value brand Cranberry Nut Mix, containing almonds has been incorrectly packaged as Value brand Roasted & Salted Cashew Nuts.
This product comes in a 500g plastic bag and is sold at Four Square, New World and Pak’nSave stores throughout New Zealand.
The affected product has a Batch #034400 and best before 07/01/2025. Customers are asked to check the batch code and date marking on the back of the package.
New Zealand Food Safety is advising people not to consume this product if you have an allergy to tree nut (almond). If you have consumed this product and have any concerns about your health, seek medical advice.
If you are not allergic to tree nut (almond), this recall does not affect you. Customers with a tree nut (almond) allergy should return the product to their retailer for a full refund.
